2 POEMS

EVIL IS FASCINATING TO THE EYE AND SO IS PAIN

Immigrants are killing veterans.
Owning a house is just so damn expensive.

The power of  their labels is inescapable
On the escalators collapsing on each other.

Shiny blocks of cheese leaf jungles of cell towers.
They say we have a very short time that can never be solved.

Our fingerprints are stillborn floors.
Our names don’t go with our eyes.

TRANSGENDERED

All the best fountains are in prison.
Their sea journeys traded for children they shouldn’t have had.

I’m a prisoner too.
I have cue card disease.

Mosquitos sculpt a mantis out of black deer jelly.
She has cue cards to please.

I’ll suck the living Christ out of her until she needs radiation.
Switching our bladders is wind power

Running on alienated abortions
Linked to the common cold.
